InHaus Media Wins Two APEX 2013 Awards of Excellence for Sandri Companies Publication
PETERBOROUGH, NH – August 13, 2013 – InHaus Media, a NH-based web design and marketing firm serving clients throughout the U.S., has been awarded the APEX 2013 Award of Excellence in the “Green Design” and “One-of-a-Kind Green Publications” categories. InHaus received the recognition for its work on Pellet Heating, a 20-page magazine produced for the wood pellet division of Sandri Energy, one of the Northeast’s leading energy providers and fuel distributors.
APEX is an international competition that recognizes outstanding publications, from newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and websites. According to the APEX 2013 judges, “The awards are based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and the success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall communication effectiveness.”
Pellet Heating was created to introduce readers to pellet heating as a viable central heating alternative while highlighting the results of an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant that Sandri had received to introduce the technology in New England. InHaus Media accomplished these goals by using a magazine-style format to present brief articles and entertaining profiles of current residential and commercial users of pellet heating systems.
Sandri Executive Vice President Jake Goodyear comments: “The task was monumental in that the publication had to introduce a complex new technology and fuel source to a broad range of potential stakeholders; it had to tell the Sandri story and the story of our federal grant; and it had to sell products. It not only achieves all of the intended results, but does so in such an inviting manner that the reader truly feels like they are perusing an interesting magazine. To be honest, the piece is so compelling that it has undoubtedly enhanced the Sandri brand as a whole.”
